Understanding Data Sources

The terms 'data source' and 'database' are often used synonymously.

A data source refers to either a connection to a database (such as MySQL, Postgres, SQL Server, Oracle, or MongoDB) or an incorporated database schema in several formats. The inclusion of data sources assists users in creating highly precise queries since AI recognizes your database schema (in other words, table and column names).

Upon connecting to a database schema only the schema is preserved, never any actual data. The connection credentials are entirely encrypted and can be deleted at any moment.

To understand the strict security and privacy measures we adhere to, kindly refer to our Security and Privacy documentation. To add your data sources, you only need a few clicks which you can do here.
