A data source refers to either a connection to a database (such as MySQL, Postgres, SQL Server, Oracle, or MongoDB) or an incorporated database schema in several formats. Upon connecting to a database schema only the schema is preserved, never any actual data. The connection credentials are entirely encrypted and can be deleted at any moment.
